When The Yetee approached me and asked me if I wanted to do a merch line, I of course, said YES! and then I thought about it and thought about it and finally POP PUP came to be. At first it was only by name, but as I started working on each piece it began to take a life of its own. Super bright and cheery puppy dogs. :D Completely self-indulgent and a ton of fun to do. Check it out at pop-pup.com!
Cold Weather Birds
This was very first print with Threadless, part of their now-defunct Select Line. It felt so special for many different reasons, one of them being that it was basically its own mini merch line. Another being that it finally made me a Threadless alumni!
Graphic Design | Real Estate
For my day job I am a part of a real estate team that sells luxury homes, mainly in the Williamson County area here in Tennessee (for 12 years!). I do print layouts, branding, web graphics, and whatever else I’m asked to do. I’ve done hundreds of layouts for flyers and brochures, but here are a few of my favorites. The LCT Team logo is also done by me, which you can see on the front of one of the bi-fold designs.
Personal Illustration Work
Once in a while I make art for myself! Or for t-shirts. Usually for t-shirts actually. But typically it’s stuff that I would want to wear in one way or another. So here’s my self-indulgent work.
Animation | The Yetee
Working with The Yetee is always super fun, especially when they hire me to create animations for them! Whether it’s a meme - actually, it’s always a meme. I’ve learned a lot doing these! I do them frame by frame in Photoshop, with the occasional edit in After Effects.
Illustration | The Yetee
A few years ago, The Yetee opened up their new HQ in Aurora, IL. To celebrate the new digs, they had an art show in which they invited artists to create a piece of art representing their mascot. Doing a piece for this show was my introduction to an amazing company and group of people! I’ve done various illustration work for them since then - van decals, social media images, memes, and more! Here are some of my faves.
Games Done Quick
For the past few years I’ve been invited by The Yetee to do a shirt for the charitable Games Done Quick events, alongside a handful of other extremely talented artists. They hold two events per year and the charity they represent changes, but they are always causes that I’m proud to donate my time and skills to. Every artist gets to pick a game from the schedule and create a design based upon the game of their choosing. It’s always fun to do!
Puppy Scouts is my comic passion project that I started a few years ago. I thought I could go page by page without any planning, but realized pretty quickly that people do manuscripts for a reason. This is something that I would love to flesh out completely one day, but in the meantime here’s a sample. Read what I have completed at puppyscouts.tumblr.com!
I create most of my illustration work digitally, so sometimes it’s nice to work with my hands and make some tangible goods! It also feeds my urge to learn new skills. Painting, sewing, pottery, and sculpting have been great outlets for exploring a different side of myself creatively.
